OhMyGosh runnaway beagle!
I was giving the girls their nightly potty-break when the neighbors puppy beagle begins running top-notch speed off-leash towards Mopsey, Prissy, and myself. So far Mopsey and Prissy have been really well behaved around smaller dogs, but I had just gotten them "hypered up" to go outside. The girls got REALLY hyper and began barking and running towards the beagle. Prissy manages to squeeze out of her collar (it was a rescue collar a bit big for her) and races after the puppy. The beagle turns tail and RUNS towards it's home, while I put Mopsey inside. To make a long story short, Prissy races inside the neighbor's house and chases the beagle to the stairs, where she stops because they are still insurmountable! 
When I return outside the puppy is actually chasing Prissy back to me - good news! Prissy wanted to play! Still, have you ever heard a beagle puppy bay?! I was scared to death - not knowing what that bay meant!!! 
Soo - everyone's back to normal and I think the neighbors were more concerned about me than Prissy!

Beagles are soooo loud, and they certainly do have a unique sound. What did your neighbor have to say? LOL |

| Poor you - must have been quite scary to see the Beagle charging at you as you had no idea at the time what to expect. I know what you mean about the "baying"..my neighbors across the street have one. Glad things all worked out!
