When did you neuter?

| WE got Barney neutered at 7 months, but that was just because we got him when he was already 6 months old. I have always heard that before 6 months is best (for hormones and stuff), and I think my parents had their sheepie spayed at 4 months, so it doesn't seem too early to me... |
I had Beaureguard neutered when he was six months old, too (Vet recommended).  |

Was planned for 6 months but it took me a month to build up the courage to put him in for the op.  |

| The vet says it is best to do it early because new studies are revealing that the longer you wait the more prone they are to prostate cancer and other illnesses due to the hormones. I know that at the clinic we have dogs come in as early as 12 weeks old depending on when their testicles have decended. It is really a personal decision I think. |
