Moooving...
We'll be heading to a little apartment in Nyack, NY - about 20 minutes away from where we currently live. I'll be the same distance away from work so I can still go home at lunchtime to play with Dudley. While the new place doesn't have a yard, there are some really nice parks in the area, and some streets have poop bag stations for easy pick-up. There is a petshop/groomer catty-corner across the street from my apt. It seems to be a fairly dog-friendly community. My new landlady tells me that people launch their dogs into the Hudson River from teh town boat launch during the summer. I see a doggy life-jacket and a floating check leash in Duds' future, perhaps... I am still looking for a new job in Central PA so I can go live with my sister. This move is a temporary thing to get me out of my current house. sigh...back to packing. I'm a little overwhelmed between the move and work right now. We'll be attending the Philly OES picnic in May and the NEOESR picnic in June. Hope to see some of you there! ~Katie & Duds.  |

| <chuckle> you can say that again...there's nothing more disconcerting than to see all my poessesions scattered around in varying stages of packing. I took 2 garbage bags of clothes to Goodwill yesterday. That helped a lot. Less to moove. ~K. |

Glad to know you are improving your situation.  Knowing how much you've been wanting to get moved from your current location. The packing and moving part stinks, but the fresh start is a nice thing.

| I'm still looking for stuff in this area, for you! Right now everyone says it's slow but hiring should pick up in May. Don't know why but that's the buzz that I'm getting.
Look at it this way, moving the second time should be easier if you just don't unpack! |
| I can truly sympathize. Daisy and I just moved 300 mi.
The packing is hard, but in my case I only had 3 days to do it, so everything went. Now, 2 weeks later I'm still unpacking and trying to organize everything, but it's esy to put it aside and sit down at the computer. Hope the move goes smoothly and you love your new home. |

De-cluttering really does make a move easier, I threw out SO much stuff before moving here. A lot less to unpack too! |

Wow, I guess people really did miss us!! It's so nice to be loved.  Thank you for all the well-wishes. I'm supposed to get a key on Thursday so I can start mooving this weekend. Once I get all the stuff out of my room, I have to paint it white. (it's lavender with kelly green trim at the moment) My current landlady will be in Italy the first week of April, so she wants it done then. As for Dudley antics - Imma gunna post a bit about that in a different post in a few moments.... ~Katie. |
