There are many, MANY homes looking for sheepdogs, especially very young dogs like yours. Are you in the United States? If so, what state are you in? I can probably direct you to a rescue-rehoming volunteer in your area. They should be able to help, and answer all of your questions. About 6 months before we adopted our dog, my wife and I had contacted a rescue organization looking to adopt a sheepdog. I had ALWAYS wanted a sheepdog. Since we both worked full time, we needed a dog that was already house trained. I wanted a BIG dog. I adopted my dog 10 years ago. The original owner had passed away, and his wife could no longer care for their Sheepdog. They called the same rescue organization, and the organization evaluated the dog. They saw what type of dog he was, and that he matched up with what our desires were... a match made in heaven!  "Jake" was almost 3 when we adopted him, now he is almost 13.

Do you still have the OES that you were considering giving away? Our family is very interested in getting one. If you are still interested, could you let us know what state you are in?
