We went and saw it yesterday. I was disappointed. Fisrt of all, I wonder why Tim Allen's eyes were bloodshot through the whole movie. And having Downing Jr. in a Disney movie is insulting. Walt Disney always wanted actors with clean records to be in his movies. Walt Disney productions is going down the drain. I do not want to tell the story line till everyone sees the movie. I feel I want to discuss the movie in further details. I don't feel it is appropriate for small children because of rude humor. I would not take my granddaughter to see it and she is 6 years old. Also a character says the line it is a shaggy dog, a sheepdog. And we all know it is a bearded collie. If anyone has seen the movie, please post and tell me what you thought of it? |

That's so disappointing to hear. I was looking forward to seeing the movie. Guess I'll wait til its out for rentals |
I haven't seen it either, but we almost did. I was checking out movie times, and then read all the comments about and everyone said it was horrible.
1) Tim Allen was a bad choice. 2) Robert Downey...joke as a bad guy 3) Wife was too young, looked more like a daughter. 4) Don't see any dog changes like the original movie had...no furry paws for example. I saw the tougne thing in the comercial. 5) Chasing cats...old and tired. 6) They didn't make it all as a remake...orignal he wore a ring to change himself into a dog...and this one is a result of a bite. Disney should be ashamed, they should realize that we as grown ups now, fell in love with the shaggy dog, and shaggy DA for a reason...why they couldn't remake it exactly like that with the technology now for CGI it could have been something really good. It was simple, and just plain fun to watch over and over. I'm waiting until it comes out on video. |
I'm surprised and disappointed to hear that. I've always liked ANY tim allen movie. I'll still have to watch it. If you want to discuss it, you could always start a thread and put: SPOILER .....then hit the enter key several times... before giving information out. (just a suggestion) That's what we do at a lot of places I go (reality tv boards). |
