try sugar free if it still happens than try caffine free.

My hubby is hooked on pepsi. If does not get get he he migraines.

Doctor sais to back off slowly. Then quit.

Still can't get hime to stop and it is killing him. to much sugar!!!!
Maybe just push it back to 3:10 for a week...then 3:20 the next and so on...slowing weaning yourself off of it?

As I type this I am thinking about the giant addiction to Diet Coke that I have.

I used to have to drink Diet Coke at all times. I would have at least one per day. But, what I found that I really loved about it was the fizz, so I have now switched to Perrier (or other sparkling water) and I hardly ever have soda anymore. This is great because, even though Diet Coke didn';t have any calories, it has all those other ingredients in it that I didn't want to be drinking all the time (caffeine included) so this was a great way to get away from it...
Sounds like "coffee headache" -- often if you drink coffee everday, you get a massively painful headache if you delay your cup or skip a day. I get them. I've been told it is from dehydration and you can alleviate the symptoms by drinking a ton of water. Maybe you can slowly reduce the amount of coke you drink and increase the amount of water you drink. I know that drinking alot of water has helped me with those headaches. Here is more info from a Q&A at Columbia Univ. health website:

Dear de-caffeinated and hating it,

Headaches are a normal response to an abrupt and drastic cut in the supply of caffeine to the system (i.e., your body). If you drink lots of coffee, or somehow provide your body with a steady, high supply of caffeine, with time, your body will develop a tolerance to caffeine. When you deprive your body of the caffeine it has grown accustomed to, your body struggles to cope with this sudden change. In the coping process, you end up with a pounding headache. Headaches, irritability, lethargy, nervousness, and mild depression are all fairly common withdrawal symptoms associated with caffeine intake.

Withdrawal symptoms from caffeine "detox" are nowhere near as severe as symptoms of withdrawal from other drugs. Although it does produce physical dependence, most of us would not identify caffeine as a dependency-producing drug. For more information on caffeine specifically, you can check out Long-term effects of Caffeine-Based Drugs in Alice's Alcohol, Nicotine, & Other Drugs archives.

As for your other issue, it's not a question of "if I do have some coffee...?," -- rather it's one of "can I have some coffee without having some more, and then maybe one more cup for the road?" Alice's point is that it's possible to drink a cup of coffee every now and then, or even one a day, without developing such a strong tolerance that your headaches will be back to haunt you on your first coffeeless morning. The key here is moderation. It's also important to be aware of the caffeine content of other beverages you drink, primarily teas and sodas. Make sure you're not substituting one form of caffeine for another. (For more information, see Caffeine Content in Alice's Alcohol, Nicotine, & Other Drugs archives.)

If you really can't live without coffee, drink one cup of full strength and then switch to decaf for the rest of the day. Or, like Alice, make your pots half decaf and half caf (and use good coffees, like French Roast, Viennese, and Yukon Gold... get the aroma?).

Bottoms up!
