Update on Mopsey and Prissy

I thought I'd post about the girls here because they have SUCH different personalities!

Mopsey is a gentle giant. She loves, loves, loves to be loved on! :P She is the leader on walks - loves to be first - but when she is inside she wants to lay down and gets hugs!

Prissy is energy all the time. She is the older one, but she is always moving. In fact, right now it is at the point where we have to leave the room to get her to calm down and rest! Otherwise she would bounce back and forth between her front paws constantly. She is the leader of the two, and puts Mopsey in her place unless we're on a walk. :o :D

Last night neither would eat - they had too much going on, but thats probably for the better! This morning I fed them in seperate rooms. Prissy wouldn't calm down enough to eat until I left, and Mopsey wouldn't east unless I was there with her!

I think these girls will make someone very happy! They're going to the vet tomorrow afternoon, and I'll know more about Prissy's sore/growth problems then!

Thanks for all the encouragement and I'll be posting pics!

Emily, thank you SO much for fostering these two senior girls. :clappurple: It sounds like they'll fit in just fine, even if it's only for a short while. I'd be concerned about the open sores on Prissy, too. Will be interested to hear what the vet says. How is their "diet" going? Keep us posted, and post pics soon!
Chris
Emily-

I'm so glad you were willing and able to do this. The girls sound so sweet :) They are lucky to be with you.
Thanks for fostering, Emily!! Let us know what the vet says, too!
I would love to be a foster parent for dogs, I'm just afraid I would get too attached and wouldn't want to give them up and then end up with 15 dogs or something!!
Hey Allison, it is Alison!! It is hard to foster dogs and love them and then let the go. However, there is nothing like the feeling of saving a dog from a bad situation and then watching them go to a great home for a second chance! That is such a rewarding feeling!

Fostering is not for everyone and if it isn't for you that is OK! However, there are much more rewards then might first come across!

Good luck!

alison, lucy, gage and thumper!
Allison -

This is my first time fostering, and I'm sooo glad to be able to help these two girls. I HAVE grown really attached to them - they are absolute sweeties - and it gets harder every day as they grow more attached to me. But it makes me want to find them a permanent home more every day the more I care for them. And a really GOOD home, too! When they leave I will be really sad, but it will be tinged with a lot of happiness as they go to their forever home!! :D
