Just wanted to ask when a oes reaches its adult weight? Our puppy (a male) is six months old and already weighs 66lbs! Is this normal for a male oes? |

thats aout right. Maybe a little on the big side, I think they get full weight about a year. |
Hi Swede!
As long as your vet isn't concerned, and feels his weight is appropriate for his size, than I wouldn't worry. Our first sheepie, Quincy, was right about there at 6 months old, maybe a few pounds less. He filled out at about a year and a half, and ended up to be 112 lbs. He was a BIG BOY! My vet would've liked him at about 107, but he wasn't extremely overweight. Our current pooch, Oscar, is almost two, and he's 101 lbs. Still big, but nothing like our first moose! Anyway, looks like you are in for a good size sheepie! |
Back again, our oes chewed of the internet cable!! Thank for the advice its always good to get a second opinion. The vet also said that he was fine, but it was 2 months ago. |
