(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA Some vacation packages are truly going to the dogs. CBS 3's Carol Erickson reports some hotels and resorts are creating activities specifically designed for our four-legged friends. Nowadays, vacations are about more than looking good in a swim suit. Even for dogs, learning is apparently the new vacation goal. So now traveling dogs now have a choice of learning vacations at some Lowes Hotels. Say your pet wants to tryout surfing, no problem. Starting at $300, he can have private surfing lessons on a custom board when he checks into Lowes in southern California. Since surfing is exhausting and works up an appetite, your pet can then have dinner in the room. The $16-hundred-a-night "Hound of Music" package at the Nashville Lowes lets dogs make like Johnny Cash with a professional studio recording session and voice coach. For the outdoorsy types, the Denver Lowes suggests the $180-a-night package for several hours off the leash in the Colorado woods with a professional trainer. But if your pet's idea of stay is more where to stay, perhaps he'd like to check into the Philadelphia's Lowes Hotel where they love pets. While they get mats and bowls here, there is no official Philadelphia Lowes pet learning vacation, but there should be with all the history here. http://kyw.com/topstories/local_story_054181514.html |

haha...I'm LOL at the image of him on a surfboard. Jasper wants the 1600/night package to improve his singing voice. |
Pepsi wants to learn to ride on a wave runner.
My SIL's Schnauzer, Kat rides on the wave runner with her paws on the handlebars while my SIL drives. She even has a life jacket. I wonder if they offer Wave running lessons for dogs. Not like I have the money |
