Dawn learns about the blue blanket.

In our house when the blue blanket comes out....the dogs magically disappear. The blue blanket goes on the dining room table and means that some unlucky sap is going to get brushed. Each dog has their own unique way of avoiding the experience.

Virgil usually waits to see if he's "IT"...and if he is then he'll growl at dad while he's lifting him to the table....sounds like he's gonna eat him...and then...he just lays there...forever....willingly....sweetly....amazingly! lol

Martin, well he melds to the floor and the joke in our house is one day we'll go downstairs and find his legs and belly hanging out of the ceiling.
Sometimes he requires dad to drag...and carry him to the table...NOT nice of the just under 100 lb boy! But then...again...magically wonderful on the table...thus the "is that dog dead" comments we get when people see him being brushed.

The gaffs...well...they are afghans and so have afghan brain syndrome. Usually takes two for them....one to brush and the other to distract.

And now we come to Dawn....mmm...as hyper as she can be you'd think she'd be a holy terror on the table. But, surprise surprise.....she CAN be still! Thought you'd all like to see the proof. This was taken the beginning of January.

Love the pic! :)
Very cool! It's so funny how they act like it's the worst thing in the world before they get on the table and then lay back and enjoy the attention.
She kind of has an expression like mischief waiting to run. LOL
What a good little baby, but she does have the expression, cheeky look of "take your brush & hands away and I am off". 8)

Mine are great with the grooming table, they usually line up and bump each other to see who is first on the table, BUT, when the towels and hairdryer come out they head for the hills, play deaf, don't see me, and hopefully imagine they are invisible!! no contest there, both aren't happy when it comes to BATH TIME  .

We have to bath upstairs so dragging a sheepie with chin scrapping on the ground all the way upstairs on a lead, with the brakes on as well is no fun, and boy they use their full weight against me when it comes to BATH TIME 8)
Adorable. Did you say you LIFT them on the table. What a workout.
 Love the photo!!! :rimshot:
