I try to do as much natural to maintane Healthy Babies... One thing I have used for years is Cranberry capsules a couple of times a week.....Cranberries and Blueberries have the same ingredient that helps with the urinary tract....It works for us and it works for the Babies....... Since starting this I have had NOT one Baby get an UTI...... I have a Lady Friend that is an Cherokee Medicine Women.....She has forgotten more then most people know about herbs for medicinal purposes. I had a Baby 1 year ago that had to have major surgery for stones.....The vet had to open the bladder and the shaft to remove them all......... The surgery was $1,600...... About 6 month later as I was getting ready to have him neutered bladder stones showed up again....... She begged me to hold of the surgery for 3 days and give her a chance to disolve them..... She used Hydrangea Root Tinture...... I took him back to the Vet and the Stones were gone........ This has been around for hundreds of years........Blew the Vet away......... So I now give Cranberry capscules. dried blueberries as a treat a couple of times a week......Hydrangea Root Tincture on hand if needed............ This is just been my experience and My Opinion...... |

Izzie had cronic bladder infections / UTI's starting from 9 or 10 weeks old. She'd would be off the antibiotics for a couple weeks and then get another one. We started her on cranberry pills just before her last infection in November...and knock on wood...she hasn't had another. She is now 9 months old.
She gets a pill in the morning and a pill at night. I hadn't thought of blueberries. Maybe I will grab some of those to use too. Thanks for the idea.

That was so interesting to read, thanks for the advice on the cranberry capsuals, like anything that is natural. Would you also just give it daily as a preventative?
Thanks
