How awful! |
Oh my gosh, Val. That is awful! Did I meet the dog while I was there? I'm very sad |
Ive heard about that (not this dog) but about that possibility...was the dog a lab or retriever? Poor thing, poor owners...that is so sad. |
That is terrible! Accidents happen so fast! |
I don't think you met him, Stacy. It was actually a pit bull. His initial impression was scary because he was so bulky and strong and had a massive head, but then when you saw him dance around with his tennis balls, he was so playful and cute and happy. He somehow managed to grin even with the balls stuffed in his mouth. I feel so bad for him. To think he died doing something that made him so happy. . .I can't even imagine how horrible his owner must feel. She watched him die while she and two other people tried helplessly to save him. |
How awful! You have to keep an eyes on them all the time,
some time I shuld wich I have eyes in the back of my head!!!!!!!! |
Oh, Val, I'm so sorry to hear this. How very sad for the owner.

I just learned that he choked on one of those mini-tennis balls that was thrown to him and he had jumped up to catch. It lodged in the back of his throat. . . |
Such tragic news. I am really sorry Val, very sad. |
That's so sad, it must have been horrible for the owner.
At home all tennis balls are banned unless they are the extra-large kind, I'm so afraid it could happen to any of ours. |
VERY SAD. My dogs have never really enjoyed playing with tennis balls. I guess that's a good thing. |
Aww..that is just heartbreaking! |
That is just heartbreaking! I have heard about dogs choking on balls and have always been careful with tennis balls. We roll them around the house but don't throw them outside. |
Hi Valerie,
If by chance you see the poor dogs mom, please let her know how many of us wrote offering our condolences to her. What a terrible loss this must have been for her. Marianne and the boys |
