Grammy Award
MADONNA looks wonderful! I've always been in awe of her since she first started. I think I was in 4th grade when she became popular so we all dressed like her with those rubber bracelets and lace in our hair. I've been to two of her concerts. She is definitely my pop goddess! Can you imagine having her for your mom? Other parts of the show I thought were horrible; ie, U2 singing with Mary J Blige; Paul McCartney and Kanye West  . I don't know who put those acts together. Didn't harmonize very well. I think even Annie covered her ears!  |

| I see Madonna is back to her prostitute/underwear wardrobe again. What was the deal with the cut off stockings and long sleeves? I understand for older women trying to hold in the chicken wings and wobbly thighs, but surely not her.
Now she and Mick would make an interesting duet. No, I'm not a rock fan, I just accidently caught this as I channel surfed. |
| LOL Stacy....you were only in grade school???? I was in high school and we had all of the nuns in an outrage because we would roll our skirts up too short and wear all of those plastic bracelets and tease out hair out to our shoulders.....alot of us got saturday detensions for out "erratic" behavior.....

I attempted to watch however after seeing the first 30 seconds of Madonna, I could bear it no more  ......I thought she was great "back in the day" but, I think that she needs to hang it up and retire along with Mick!!!

we would tease our hair and try to perfect 'the wave'--i was so mad, I could NEVER do it right  I have very fine hair and it wouldn't hold cute barrettes either Go ahead, feel sorry for me...

| I thought it must be embarrassing to get beat by Kelly Clarkson. She was up against Sheryl Crow and gwyneth stefanie. Two people who some people idolize.
.........though I was very proud of Kelly. Proving how far one can go from just being a contestant off American Idol. I definitely like her the most out of all the winners on AI so far. One of the only IMO that really looks like a superstar now (whole package). I never got into Clay who can definitely sing (he's still a dork to me). He sings stuff about being a fly on the wall and watching you ...which is weird to me.   Mr. J knows some folks who went to school with Kelly and they all said she wasn't popular at all ...very nerdy... so it's amazing how far she's come along. I love her personality.
Oh, I didn't watch much of the Grammy's. I get carried away with American Idol and Beauty&the Geek (a show that had SO much potential but really isn't that good this season). |
| I was also surprised that Kelly Clarkson won in the category with such high profilers. However, she does have a beautiful voice and I felt proud of her...like I helped her win AI although I always got a busy signal when dialing in. She seems like a sweet girl. Neat how Mr. J has a connection.
Clay Aiken is scary as he looks so much like Barry Manilow! Eek! None o the others went very far, but I do like to watch AI when they are down to 12 contestants. I will forever be a pop star groupie! |

I'm just glad Jessica Simpson was too young for him. They went to the same hs. ...but we have friends that have went out on a date with her (being from houston as well) or have a sister that spent the night at her house (party). She's my not-so-secret ...though I know it should be.... idol. I don't care how dumb she comes off or that Mr. J dislikes her because of it... she's fly in my book. |

| I know!! I don't want her to go down hill now (dating "bad boys"). I kept thinking it must have been weird for him to see his now EX on the superbowl commercials. That must be weird in general to have an ex that's always on every magazine, etc. He needs to do something big again.
He was supposed to have a reality show come out. I thought this past summer... not sure. I think it was about him preparing for his new album. I wish I knew what happened with that. |

I am so glad she won, she has worked really hard and proven herself. I was also happy for U2 and so happy that the Twinkie or Sausage roll didn't win. (Mariah Carey, I cannot stand her) Someone needs to tell that girl that she is not a size 2, so please do not try and fit into one. |

| I loved No Doubt and I'm a huge Gwen Stefani fan I think she should've won. I also love Mary J Blige. Hate Mariah Carey. Love U2 and Bono. I missed the Grammy's cause I had to work but I saw some of the highlights today. |
