For those who DO love football, who you rootin' for?
Anyone have big superbowl plans? Hosting a party? Going to a sports bar? We're used to having a big party, but we're new here, so we don't know what to do. We may go to a sports bar with some friends. I'll be cheering for Steelers. |

| I don't care about either of these teams, either. But I'll be rooting for the Seahawks...gotta keep it West Coast style. Plus, the Steelers scare me, with their ugly black and yellow uniforms...
I have to work all day Sunday and then my hubster has to work Sunday night, so I'll probably be watching it from home, by myself...so sad... |

| I'm going for the Steelers - that's been my husband's team since he was a kid so to keep everything nice and peaceful in my household I'm going for them! I'm also a College fan because my nephew plays for the Syracuse Orangemen - it was his last year this year - and he just signed with the CFL (Canadian Football League) Montreal Alouettes, so now I'll be a CFL fan! |

or that one commercial with those young kids who are about to tell you what they want to be when they grow up. They look dead into the camera and you're sure they will say "Fireman" or "Pilot" ...but they something like "When I grow up, I want to be a brown nose..."  |

I'm a PA transplant from Washington and my grandparents were avid Seahawks fans. They were such intense fans that if you so much as talked during play you were thrown out of the house! I still root for them because it's genetic. The worst part is, the Steelers are my second favorite team. DOH First time's a charm, right? |

| I hate football, but I do love those commercials and sometimes try to catch a peek at the half-time show.
This year though I heard something on the news about the commercials being "toned down" which ought to make for an even more boring Sunday 
If I have to pick one, I say Steelers, only because seahawks makes me think of seagulls and you know what they do..... |

how long do these things go on for? I can't seem to find any start or end times. I know nothing definite because you can't really predict exactly how long it will last.... but average? |

| At my house it's usually an all day event... It's funny because I never sat and actually thought of what time it would usually start and end. I know when we would throw parties people would come over at 1pm and leave at 2am.....hahaha!
I think, don't quote me, I think it ends around 11:00-11:30 |

Deana, I am from the east coast. I grew up in NJ and went to College on Long Island. Then lived Upstate NY (Middletown) for 7 yrs. Been a Bills fan since High School....but a Giants fan since 1982. |

It doesn't happen very often that the Giants play the Bills. So usually no conflicts there.
I do prefer the West Coast as far as Weather goes. I have Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain disorder) which is aggrivated by cold weather and high humidity. Also met my hubby here, before I moved here. |
