There is a commercial breeder trying to build a 600 dog kennel in Minnesota. To get it pass the building regulators thing were stated that the 10 pound dogs would take dozens of them to equal one steer and therefore should not fall into EPA regulations. Additionally, he agree to have the dogs de-barked so the neighbors would not have a noise problem. Now, do you really think he is going to pay a vet to do this. My guess is not, many breeders a metal rod rammed down their throats to rupture their vocal cords. We do not need a 600 dog puppymill next to use, I encourage you to sign the petition! We endorse the Stop the Puppymill in Morrison County, Minnesota Petition to Morrison County Commissioners. http://new.PetitionOnline.com/mn56345/petition.html |

Sounds like they are tryng to build a mill in Morrison County, Minnesota. I don't know exactly where that is though. |
It's out by St. Cloud, MN. About 2.5 hours west of the Twin Cities. I was so upset by the news, I didn't pay attention properly to exactly where, if it is in the city proper, or just in "the area". I'm so disgusted by the whole thing... the fact that my state's government is even THINKING about allowing such a thing makes me ill. You can bet I'm signing that petition!

At this point, internet petitions are so common and so hard to verify that no one pays any attention to them. The best thing you can do, particularly since you're local, is send letters/emails directly to county and state officials. Correspondence directly from local voters gets attention. |
Maybe we could de bark the owners
How does the state agriculture department feel about this? They are going to have to inspect alongside the USDA........ |
