So instead my breeders daughter offered me one of her pups which will be coming home March 9th. Here is where unexpected comes in. My mom knew how devastated I was over not getting Abby so she started searching for a sheepdog breeder (not knowing I had another sheepdog coming).Well she found a woman about an hour away from where I live with a male sheepdog puppy for sale and told her my story and gave her my number. The lady called me she was pretty desperate to get the puppies gone because she had four granddaughters and 2 greatdanes dropped on her doorstep. I felt terrible for this woman she is in her sixties and now raising teenage girls. So my husband and I went over to just look at the pup (yeah right ) Well needless to say love at first sight. We brought him home that day for practically free. So I would like to introduce Blue's Mac Gyver Terwillegar I will have pics up as soon as possible. So now when Lilly gets here she will have a playmate. Talk about Irony. Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Dena |

Mac Guyver?? Wow... that will be one handful of a dog if he learnes to make nuclear weaponry from puppy food! Keep the technical manuals away!
Congrats! Enjoy your puppy, pictures always welcome (and begged for)! Puppy antics are strongly welcomed too! -Ron and Joan |
Congats on your new puppy sounds like he is very lucky to have you! Boy, God sure does work in mysterious ways. I am really glad all worked out well for you. I look forward to seeing pictures of you new puppies |
what a cutie. congrats! |
Congrats. Before you know it you'll have two fur-balls chasing around the house. Hopefully Mac Guyver will help teach the new one the ropes (all two weeks of knowledge!) |
Congrats! That's wonderful... it's amazing how things work out sometimes. Please let us know how it is to raise 2 pups at the same time. I'm really curious, as I've been told there is a litter on the way in a few months from a breeder that works closely with the breeder i got Dancer from. I'm soooo tempted to have another sheepie baby, but I worry that it might be too much too soon, I don't want Dancer to feel neglected, and I don't want either dogs' training to be hampered by the differences in age and progress. Anyone else have experience with this? The pups would be about 8 months apart in age, so it's quite different than this situation. I wasn't planning on getting another sheepie for a couple of years... but , *sigh* who can resist those adorable faces and wiggly fuzzy bums? |
Hi I have been extremely busy with both my new pups Mac is awesome we got him from a local breeder. Lilly on the other hand came to us from Missouri when we picked her up at the airport I could not beleive the state she was in she has a large bald spot on her back from ringworm she was under weight and had protozoin? parasites. She was extremely food aggressive and I have not recieved her AKC papers yet. I now know what a huge mistake I made buying a puppy over the internet and would not encourage anyone else to do so. Unless you do some major digging on the breeder. Don't get me wrong I love Lilly very much!! But the disapointment when she got here was overwhelming. Everyone said I should send her back but NO WAY would i send her back to someone like that!!!!!! Things will get better with lots of persistence and love She and Mac get along very well he gets on her nerves alot but she puts him in his place. I love watching them play Mac is about 35lbs now Lilly is only about 10lbs and there is only a month difference in age but anyways when they play he always lets her win it's cute. My chesapeake bay retriever does not know what to think of these two but he is warming up. These are the best breed of dog that I have ever owned. My three kids 11,9 and two adore them and both dogs are so gentle with my baby they are great!!!! I will get pics up as soon as I acn. Take care everyone. Dena |
