1st Annual "Sheepiefest of the West"
We are looking to do this sometime in March. We can meet at the local dog park to wear out the dogs a bit then back to my house for BBQ. Who's interested??? |

| Love the name! I'm in depending on the date too. I have some tickets to watch the WORLD CHAMPION WHITE SOX during spring training in March. But I do love a good road trip. What do you say, Darcy? Wanna drive out together? Bailey and Panda would be a riot together. |

Elissa, when you said it was a 3 1/2 hour trip, exactly how fast was billy driving?  Just wanted to make sure it was within 10 or so miles of the speed limit!

| The speed limit was 70 - 75.... We drove between 75 and 80.
Yahoo said the trip was 4 hrs, but they don't take into account the high speed limits on rte 10. |

The beer is formenting as we speak. It is sitting in a Formentor on the kitchen counter. When it is done it will be transferred to the keg
We also have a bar & TV in the backyard. I am thinking of doing the dog park thing around 11-11:30 am. Then back to the house for a BBQ, maybe swimming, (if Billy hooks up the pool heater) jacuzzi, Margarita's and Wine for the Ladies...or beer if they prefer. Running area for the dogs
I am so excited! So is Billy (But he won't admit if you ask him) He didn't want to get dragged into the whole Sheepdog world....but having Rags has made him a BIG Sheepie Fan! Stacy, Would you like a jar of BBQ sauce to bring home with you? Billy wants a head count on who wants sauce..... If you'd like to come let me know, last minute RSVP's are fine. We'd love to have you join us. I am a block from the Palm Springs Border. I'd say it's around a 4 hr drive. If you don't feel like driving you can get a flight on Allegiance Air for $29 each way. That's cheaper than GAS, but then we wouldn't get to meet your beautiful dogs. But you could come on our for a couple of hours and enjoy the day with a bunch of great people and Sheepdogs |

As for definites...well, you already listed them. We might have a few last minute locals meeting us at the dog park....but since I don't know them, I am not sure they will be coming back to the house with us. I am going to apologize in advance about my house. We have been under going renovations so long now it's not even funny. The inside of the house is very crappy. lol Billy prefers working on the outside and the yard  I am so embarrassed when people come over.... Oh well..
Also with three dogs and two kids.... I would not say that my house is up to your standards of cleaning in any way shape or form...lol E |

He keeps saying "Who's coming to my house? My Girlfriend?" Then he'll walk away once I confirm the info and say "Darcy, My girlfriend is coming" over and over and over. lol Hayley is ready to charm as usual and full of smiles. Stacy, I am really not to over concerned about the house. It is not a run down shack...just not how I want it either
We bought the house because of the property. Our lot is almost twice the size of a normal California lot. I really do wish Billy had replanted the grass on the one side of the yard....but that won't happen for a couple of weeks. He is busy planning for his new BBQ and Bar he is going to build in that area. MEN!!! Yay!!! Can't wait to see everyone!!! I am so excited. So are the furkids. Rags even got her bangs cut yesterday. |

| A few years ago we went to Sedona, AZ in October. Nothing I read and noone I talked to said that it rains in October. We weren't happy campers there either. I keep going to the West because I want to see if I'll feel better in the climate, but if it rains I can't judge that. |
| I do have to say that for the last 5 times they forecasted rain here it rained once for a couple of hours. Usually the rain passes to the north of here. The storm clouds rarely make it over the local mountains. (Knock on wood) I will do a Sun dance for you Stac and keep my fingers crossed.
Darcy, hmmm let see. Billy has the BBQing stuff covered and is also making his Macaroni Salad, so bring whatever you like. Also speak for yourself about being pasty....lol I have the beginnings of a nice tan and Ryan from spending a lot of time outside is quite tan. Also Billy has what a refer to as redneck...lol BTW Ryan got his haircut for you the other day. He also has some presents for you. We are looking at a 20% chance of precipitation tomorrow. Highs 62-67 degrees, Partly cloudy. Today it is raining..it's been drizzling on and off. I am hoping we will get all the rain today. At least we will have gorgeous views tomorrow. It is currently snowing on the local mountains. Don't forget to bring your camera. Sue, Billy said you don't have to bring anything. If you want to bring something... maybe some kind of desert? |

Make sure you bring warm stuff for at night. It is supposed to be in the high 40's at night. Brrrr...and it usually gets windy when the sunsets. The good news it day temps should be in the 70's and even up into the 80's by Thursday
