http://www.peteducation.com/category_summary.cfm?cls=2&cat=1939 at peteducation .com they have a search that allows you to search for plants, foods and household items that are toxic to your pets. Saw Lamb's Quarter, but NOT Lamb's ear. Guess you may have to ask your vet, but I bet it isn't.
I have found what is listed as toxic isn't nessecarily very toxic. We had a cocker spaniel who ate a pound of chocolate every year around Christmas. One way or the other she would manage to get into somebody's chocolate around the holidays. She would have diarhea, but nothing much else. She vomited all the time anyways, so I guess we may not have noticed, but she seemed normal enough afterwards. If it is too cold to mess with, your dog probably feels the same I would think? The only outdoor plants I ever really worried about was oxalis, oleanders, and the poison ivy and oak. I guess it would depend on HOW toxic it was before I would eliminate it completely. Hope it turns out to be nontoxic! |
