Dyson VS Roomba?
Danita has been bugging me about buying a new vaccum cleaner and she's been looking at the dyson... She's known to be trigger happy on eBay.  Are they as good as they say? |

| I have a Dyson DC14 The Scarlett Low Reach Model I just got it two weeks ago and I swear it is the best Vacuum I have ever had. I Vacuum every day and the amount of dirt and pet hair it picks up is incredible. I don't think my carpets have ever been this clean.
I picked it up on e-bay for $255.00 refurbished with a warranty. They run new for $596.00 |

If you want something cute that you can giggle at while it zooms around, the Romba is your best bet. If you need to knock out a pile of dirt and hair (and the occasional end table) everytime you vacuun, like you are attacking a mountain, then breakout the Dyson. |
I can't ignore a Dyson thread. 
I have had my Dyson Animal for over a year now, and it is still the best vacuum ever. We got ours from Best Buy and got an extra 3 year warranty on it, as we went through many vacuums in a short amount of time, and didn't want this one to be another one. We have never had a problem to date yet. We have the 2 sheepies and 9 kitties, so it gets used a few times a day. I haven't tried a Roomba, but I can see myself tripping over it, or it getting clogged with a big fluff of sheepie or raggie hair. |

| Maybe I got a dud Dyson cause mine is hopeless, I also have a Vax which I use with a turbo head and it does as good a job as the Dyson. The Dyson has been falling apart since day one, the hose is held together by tape and all requests by the manufacturer to honor the warranty has been ignored. Friends who have one loves theirs. |
Mine was a dud too Jean, falls apart and now back again for repairs. And the warranty well same thing. Still all the money paid for the darn thing I am taking it back again for more repairs. Mine started falling apart from day 1 too, duck tape works wonders LOL  |
| Our Dyson arrived last week, after a looong wait and all I can say is
Boy, do they suck!!!! Ours is so powerful that it ruined one of my sneakers when the laces got tangled with it. They pick up hair, dust and stuff like I've never seen before. Danita's very happy with it! Thanks for everyone who recommended it! |
