I've sued my crock pot ONCE since I bought it many months ago. So a beef stew recipe would be welcome. |

BLECH! I found a package of beef stew seasoning. Way toooo salty for my tastes.
I can do a whole lot better with wine, demi glace, mushrooms, and all sorts of green herbs. Allspice is a curious addition. I do use it with kibbee, some meatballs, and a pork/steel oats recipe. Never thought of it with stew. Next time I'll try it. |
Why not a southwest flavor? Add some taco type of seasoning to the flour and a variety of chiles. |
I would except we eat chiles a lot. We live smack dab in the middle of the cuisine.
Just to share: Take pork cubes, chunks or deboned chops and slow cook or oven cook......or pressure cook......in a red chile puree seasoned with lots of garlic, some oregano and cumin, s&p. I realize though red chile puree isn't common around the country. Maybe enchilada sauce would work....? |
