My name is Erinn, and I am a student without the proper time and resources to own an OES right now. However, I [FINALLY!] graduate in spring of 2007 and can then get my puppy! I just started doing some serious research over the holidays with regards to the OES. It sounds early, but I want to make sure that I know what I am doing and whether I can handle one before I commit--like baby preparations, lol. I even contacted some breeders, including Willowsprite, who were all very kind and helpful regarding my questions. I have been enjoying the forum for the last couple of weeks, and am trying to soak in as much info as I can, and it is a lot of fun to read about all of your puppy tales/tails! While I am as of yet puppy-less, I do have an adorable ball of fluff named Finnegan and spend a lot of time playing with her every day. Hamsters are obviously a lot less work and expense than a dog, but we all have to start somewhere, right? She is very student-friendly and portable! Anyway, I look forward to learning more about the breed and about dog care in general. Kind Regards, Erinn |

I am not sure why it says 'shaved' over the picture of Finnegan to the left, but to clarify...I have not nor will not ever attempt to shave my teddy bear hamster!!! lol
cheers, erinn and finny |
Welcom to the forum Erinn!
I'm so glad you joined, there isn't a better place to learn about OES The word shaved only appears under your post for a little while... as you post more you will see it change |
Welcome Erin, I"m a newbie here too. |
Hi Eriin, I've been hanging around here for a few years and I don't have a sheepie either. I work full-time and have a horse (Bob the Wonder Pony) who consumes all my extra time and money. But someday, when the time is right, I will have a wigglebutt. Warning: this site is addicting! |
Welcome Erin! I think it's great that you're starting early and doing the research now to be sure an OES is the right dog for you. That's very responsible!
You'll enjoy it here and learn lots of good info for when you do get your puppy! |
Welcome! Are you graduating high school or college in 2007?
And I think it's never too early to start researching. But even once you think you know everything, something new and unexpected will happen! |
Welcome, Erin! That's great that you are staring your research early. You'll have time to prepare and to make a very informed decision. This forum is great! Everyone is welcome here on the forum! Very addictive, so make sure you save time for your studies! |
Welcome, Erin! So glad to hear you're doing research on the breed, and don't want one just because they're cute. You'll be well informed on all aspects of sheepie-dom by reading this forum, but as was said before - be warned!! This site is HIGHLY addictive!!

Hi Erinn,
Welcome to the forum! No matter that you are sheepieless at the moment, as I believe Irminski has been a member here for some time and now is on a waiting list for a sheepie. You're going to make a great sheepie mom just like her as you'll both have an abundance of knowledge before your dream becomes a reality. Have fun and post often! Marianne |
Welcome to the forum! If you love dogs, you'll fit right in. Once you get your sheepie you'll be an expert in no time! |
