|
Congratulations!!! I am SO happy for you!
I think all of us are going to be following all of this with you, I know I feel that this is kind of an oes.org family puppy, since you've been here so long, and have waited so long for your OES Woohooo!!!! Yay!!!! :):) |
Are you going with a girl or boy? Have you picked out a bunch of names? This is so exciting! |
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!! How exciting! And that is awesome that they are being born so soon so you'll only have 2 months to wait.
Yes, keep supplying details throughout!! |
Kar... That is soooooooooooooooo exciting!!!!!!!!!!! Pictures we really really will need pictures.......Boy or Girl...what what what????? |
Ok,
We're leaving it open to sex. It's more about personality for me... I've told my breeder I want the "lover" of the litter, the sweet gentle loving puppy, it doesn't matter if it is a boy or girl. That is one of the reasons it was sooo important to me to go see the litter in person. I'm waiting to find the "it" puppy, the one that comes up and says "Hi, I'm your sheepie, so let's go home already!" For names so far I've only picked out 1 per sex, but I'm sure I'll keep thinking of more: Boy: Call name "Nimbus", registered name "(Kennel name's) Sacred Wind" Girl: Call name "Pearl", registered name "(kennel name's) Sacred Treasure" the "sacred" nomer is a nod to my ongoing pet family's registered names. Iris is "Snowphire's Temple Flower" Bell is "Lylati's Temple Bell" I wanted something similar but not identical for the new canine member of the family. Plus when we add new members, we can continue with the theme, kitties being "temple blah-blah" doggies being "sacred something something". It's all good! I'm rambling again... Karen |
Congratulations , Karen! Pictures, pictures-we want pictures!!! |

Congratulations!!! Always exciting to have a new member of the family on the way!
It's about time!!! WooHoo!!!! |
Congratulations! There's nothing better than an OES except, one with puppy breath!!! Say you want the lover? Pick the "runt". They have to struggle harder to get what they want/need, and seem to be more appreciative of it when they get it. |

Congratulations Karen! |
Hi All!!! I just wanted to let you all know how appreciative I am of all your good wishes, it means a lot to me! I took a (working) vacation last week, to work on the house... but didn't get too much done. I still await news of the blessed event... puppies should be arriving in the world sometime this week or next!!! I'm going to beg and plead for pictures of the litter, so everyone can oooh and aah!
Can anyone give me some tips for puppy proofing the abode? Karen |
Puppy proofing.........there's no such thing. Peeing on floors, chewing on furniture and anything left on or near the floor (you learn to pick up your laundry real fast), all poisons in upper cabinets, purchase extra toilet paper. Pray your pup doesn't eat the wall boards or carpet. Maybe that's a Great Pyr thing. You might want to crawl around the house at puppy height and see what you can find.......electrical cords??
The whelping is the first wait, then comes the 8 weeks or so as they nurse and learn their puppy manners. Don't push to get the pup early, let him/her stay with Mum and learn is place in the world. Both names are wonderful. |

Pretty much the same things you would do for a new baby thats starting to walk. They're into everything. |
Just think of a two year old with scissors. LOL
Gates are great things. LOL |
I agree ... gates are great!! Especially when they are able to counter surf. Hubby and I spent one day last week working to get syrup out of our living room rug thanks to our counter surfing OES. Not fun and I am thankful he only does it when we go out and don't close him off to a hallway devoid of anything he can get too!
Wow a new puppy!! I am so envious, mine will be 1 yo Feb 11 and with the imminent arrival of baby Kaitlyn, I have a feeling a new puppy is going to have to wait about 10 yrs or so |
