All I know is that when I uploaded a million pictures from my wedding onto kodak gallery, it took about 2 hours. I just left it running and did other things and then came back and it was finished... |
Thanks. I was trying to send them to MIL before she left for work today, but I don't guess that's going to happen now. lol |
You could send her a 'preview' of less pictures... |
Steph - was it you that honeymooned in Rome? |
That sounds right. I would recommend against downsizing them because that will affect the sizes of prints you can order. You could just pick your favorites to upload. Or keep your favorites full size and downsize the rest.
If you are familiar with photoshop, you can record an "Action" and then batch process them. . . There are other programs that will let you downsize photos. Lots of people like Picasa -- available free from google: http://picasa.google.com/index.html If you do downsize them, make sure you save the originals because you might want to use the full-size image somedayfor something . . . |
Tammy, nope, I wish!. That was Hendrix's mom, I think. Unfortunately I am still waiting for my honeymoon since hubster had to start school right after our wedding. |
Ahhh...that's right!
Do you have a place in mind for when you do go? |

Yeah, I always keep my originals on a CD before I delete them off the computer. Shutterfly is just a backup in case...plus it's easy to share pics through there. I tried sending them out via e-mail and went past my bandwidth, now no e-mail for the next 24 hours. Oops! lol It was still taking 5-7 mins per pic...yikes. lol |

I have a LOT of places in mind...I guess it all depends on how much time we have and where we end up living. the plan is to go on the honeymoon when hubby graduates from med school (summer 07). We'll also possibly be moving at that time (hopefully back home!!) so we'll have to factor that in. I'd love to go to the Mediterranean and south of france, or go to new zealand, or to hawaii...those are the ones that are high on my list at the moment... |
I vote for Hawaii.....we go every other year....time share....and it is just awesome..even when it rains, its warm....This year Im going to keep my eye out for the "Dog" bounty hunter....he is right there in Wahkiki...I was watching it the other night and he did a bust right in front of the big statue of Duke....LOL...I know that place...we do our morrning walks right there...again...I think I have to much time on my hands if this gets me excited...sigh |
Wave "Hello" to Winston for me... he is near Honolulu... |
Hawaii would be fun. We considered that...but then decided on Italy.
Sounds like a fun vacation, though, Darcy! |
I want to go to Italy one day....so far my debit card # has made it, but without me attached to it |
LOL...well, this is the trip I promised my nephew for his 10th birthday. So he got to decide on the destination. His dad, my brother, was in Hawaii for a few weeks last year for the Navy and when he heard all the stories, he thought for awhile he wanted to go there. But, after pondering on it for a few weeks, he decided to go to Italy. His reasoning? He's been to the beach but he's never seen the colesium. Not bad for a nine year old. |
Smart Kid |

If you have your photos at different orientations (portrait and landscape) and you want them turned correctly, make sure you divide them into 2 batches and apply the appropriate actions for each batch. I always forget that and wind up with goofy turned ones! |
