One of the wonderful aspects of oes.org has been our ability to maintain an anonymous posting ability. This ability will be continued for as long as possible and will, I think, be a GREAT benefit to people who would like to post and recieve support about their weight loss issues, but who are afraid, embarrassed or otherwise turned-off by having to post as a "known" person. So, what do you all think? Please take a moment to answer the poll above. As always, the system never tracks how you vote in a poll. The system does keep track of whether or not you've voted (so you can't vote twice), but the way you vote is confidential. |

I would like to suggest that you call it "Healthy Eating" or "Healthy Lifestyle" or something that gets rid of the word "diet". One of the reasons that so many diets fail is that we view them as "temporary" and not as long term lifestyle changes. |
Good point Ginny. We do need to view weight loss as a lifestyle change, diet sounds temporary. It will also help those of us trying to quit smoking |
We definitely need it and I agree that we call it Lifestyle or Healthy Eating. Something that does not use the word diet. People have been really supportive of us folks who are quitting smoking and I believe they will also be supportive of us who are trying to lose weight. Nobody would have to say how much they weigh or how much they want to lose. Just that they want to lose. |

Bravo! We need a long term lifestyle change! Good bye Twinkies |
I like the idea! I'm sure I would use it! |
I like the Healthy Lifestyle idea, because that can incorporate healthy eating, exercise, stress management... |
Sooo......what did we decide? Are we adding a healthy lifestlyes section? |
If we don't I may have to start smoking again Ron....... |
