Dog food warning

| Yes, it is very true. The local station here in Boston is making a big to-do about it tonight as well.
There is a big announcement about this on the front page of oes.org, and also a secondary page at http://www.oes.org/page2/5959~Know_of_a ... _Food.html (BTW, just so you know that oes.org is on the cutting edge, that info has been there since 12/21  )

| Anyone notice on that CNN report at the end it lists all the states it was sold in, and then says it may have been exported to 29 other countries as well?
At first they had said it was ONLY in the US. This is concerning me more, since my parents feed Kirkland brand, which is made by Diamond. Their dog Blackie was very sick not long ago and almost died. I'm now wondering if they had a contaminated bag. |

| There have been many deaths here in the Rochester NY area. I had posted that the very first time it was on TV. Many have lost all their pets.
In our paper one breeder lost all of there 12 dogs. I think the company should not only pay vet bills but help these breeder to start over again. And also provide a new pet for familys who lost their pets. This never should have happened!!!! |
| Thanks for the update! We had fed out cleft palate pup Diamond Puppy Food when she arrived from Texas because the small size was easy for her to swallow. I'm so thankful that we switched brands several months ago! |
| We feed our dogs Kirkland brand which is made from Diamond. I get the food from Costco. I JUST bought 4 bags of the food. I am not going to return it..I am throwing it away. I dont want to take the chance that Costco just re-shelves the food and someone else's dog gets sick.
The last few days Avalon and Faith have had diahhrea. I didnt think of it right away but the diahhrea started when we opened the last bag. The dogs had also been digging and sniffing the dirt so I had just figured that the diahhrea was from that. The original statement from Diamond had said that it was only food distributed in the states. Now they are saying it has been exported. They dont say that it is the Kirkland brand that was affected...but we arent taking any chances. Hubby is out now getting DIFFERENT dog food. |
| I'm still very angry!!. Our dog Beko died two weeks befor Christmas in 2005. We thought he was grieving the loss of my father-in-law who died just two weeks prior. My husband and I haven't been able to move on! Beko wasn't just a pet he was part of our family and we miss him very much. I'm insulted and hurt about this settlement. Diamond pet food should be made to pay for the pain and suffering to families who pet died as a result of this mistake. the $1000.00 that families may get is a insult!! |
