Barkley has his spot. I'm surprised he is willing to share this room with you; afterall, it is his 24/7. In time he'll spread out. Enjoy this OCD while it lasts.

That's so lovely, mmm maybe we need Barkley over here to teach my girls a thing or two!! Love the name, he does look like a barkley with that beautiful big head and lovely huge black nose. Sounds like a real sweet gentle boy. He is definately home sweet home and all settled in. |
Love the name!!! it fits. Our Flannigan does the same thing , stores up a catch for later.but hes 10 now . He just is not a Lets eat now guy. saves most for later.LOL |
Boo does the same stores it up unless one of the other dogs are hanging around |
What an adorable trait! How old is Barkley? Maybe this is just his way of protecting what's his, if he came from an abused home. What a doll!

8 months. He's definately a sweetie! |
That's so cute! Barkley is a perfect name for him. Maybe he can train Annie. She snarfs everything down and leaves her "babies" all over the place. |
I agree - adorable trait and enjoy it while it lasts. My two don't want anything stacked - they want their toys spread out so they have a few in each room. |
That is so cute.... it's certainly not a bad habit to have! LOL |
HAHAHAHA! What a cutie!!! |
deograine wrote: I think Barkley (yes we finally settled on the name Barkley--I just couldn't name him after my least favorite vegetable--and Ais finally learned to say it right) Anyway--I think Barkley is OCD or something. I made him a little place in my bedroom with a blanket and some of his toys--because he stays in my bedroom when I'm at work. It was the easiest room to puppy proof. Whenever I try to play with him with a toy--he promptly picks it up with his mouth and drops it on his blanket. He doesn't play with it, just picks it up and drops it on the blanket, and then every once in a while goes over and lays down on top of all of them. Interesting--since I had the hardest time getting the kids to pick up after themselves. So today I was doing a little training with him. Trying to teach him to sit. He did very well but every time I gave him a reward he promptly carried his treat over to the blanket and dropped it. Eventually he did go over and eat his cache of treats, but the only toy that hasn't ended up in his little toy pile is the ball that he's terrified of.
sounds like herding instinct, too bad you have no sheep. jack does the same, it's so cute isnt it? |
thats adorable! walter does the same thing, only its not so cute because he puts all his toys under the couch and then lays on his side scratching at the couch and whining until i pull them all out.... |
