At 5 months are you sure it is not teething? New permanent teeth erupting from the gums? Have a look at the baby teeth and see if any are missing or loose, then the lumps on the gums are the new teeth coming through. |
She currently is teething, the sores are on the side of her gum, towards the top of her mouth. |
I'd definitely hit the vet for that one. |
i would also get the vet to check this out. |
Yep definately get a vet to check, could be a bit of ulceration of the gums. |
Could be an impacted tooth that has become infected. Definitely needs a vet. |
I know cats can have serious problems with gum sores and decaying teeth. I don't know about dogs. Maybe your baby has rubbed raw spots in mouth from chewing to relieve discomfort from teething. I would take the puppy in just in case and carefully watch the vet. A quick "Oh, it's teething" diagnosis would make me uncomfortable wondering if the vet actually looked at the other sores.
Here's hoping it is truly just teething problems and not a bacterial infection or worse problems. Our poor babies really have a tough time these first few months. |
I think it is probably just teething as well. The blisters could be from chewing things so much to ease teething pain.
I would get it checked though just to be sure. I think if you give the pup some frozen things, ice cubes, freeze some chew toys etc might help as well. |
