What brush is best on puppy fur? |

Fergie did the same thing at first but at 5 months she startedto love the pin brush, she would just lay there and let me do it. by six months she look for the brush. thats all I can say since we lost her on Nov. your puppy will learn too. One thing I seen posted is using treats while you brush. Doing it in short spurts might help. |
Molly did that initially, but i insisted that she lay on her side and just held my hand gently against her face whilst i brushed her. It was a struggle at times but i did it every day, or even twice a day for a few minutes. Alternating a brush with a good girl and stroke helped.
Now at five months, she comes trotting when she sees the brush and lies streched out or sits watching tv for me. She's still not keen on having her feet brushed but enjoys her back and tum being done. |
Here's another post with some hints. I suggest making the session very short at first, and pleasant (read treats) and lying down.
