A couple of days after bringing her home, I heard her "whining" and immediately went to check it out - she had gotten tangled in the cords and fortunately, instead of fighting her way out she cried for help. (she still does this if she gets caught up in anything for which I am very thankful). When I brought Daisy home I also got an 8 week old kitten, having lost one of the two (Mork & Mindy - Mindy was hit by car and killed) I brought from VT. They had a great time together and the kitten loved to get Daisy to chase her under the headboard. I kept telling Daisy she shouldn't go through there but they never listen. I had to return the kitten as Mork also got hit by a car and had to have surgery for a displaced hip. He HATED the kitten (he had never shown any dislike for other cats before this) and I knew that if I was going to keep him inside to recover, the kitten would have to go. I hated to do this but had to take care of Mork. Sorry I got sidetracked, but it gives a little background. Anyway - Daisy is now 8 mos old and still likes to sleep in her corner (although she has recently decided the top of the bed is okay too). The other morning I was watching TV in bed and switched channels just as this REALLY loud animal sound came on. I expected her to bark or something, but she just burrowed herself under the headboard. At this point I became concerned because at 8 mos old I didn't think she would fit through and wondered how I would get her out. She did manage to crawl through and come out the other end but I'm worried that one day she'll try to go through there and I'll end up having to take the waterbed apart to get her out. |

Submariner! |
I was thinking part gopher!
It is amazing the tiny little spots they can get in and out of. |
Yup, I agree...part gopher! |
Do you think our member "SheepdogMarine" will be upset, or honored? |
As Tommy Lee Jones said, "We gotta gopher." |
That's funny! Bart used to "shimmy" his huge sheepie body (he was 100lbs) under our bed every night! He always managed to get back out...so don't worry too much! |
I wouldn't worry til you see your bed walking down the hall |
LOL Bestdogs that was very funny! Yes, I agree no need to worry until you see the bed moving.
Marianne and the boys |
I'm thinking definately "submariner" too especially if it springs a leak
Then you do have to worry LOL |
When Barney was a pup I had the same problem; solved by screwing a 1" furring strip along the bottom opening. Also kept his balls from rolling under the bed. |
I have to say I laughed for 2 minutes after reading your response, George.

That's too cute!! Gus used to crawl around EVERYWHERE!! He slept on top of our coffee table, our fireplace and behind our couch.. He no longer fits ANY of those places but he still tries!! I crack up when I watch him! |
