- 500 grams Mascarpone (1.1Lbs) - 1/2 cup strong coffee - 4 eggyolks - 2 egg whites - 100 grams (.2lbs) powdered sugar - 200 grams (.45 lbs) lady fingers - 300 grams (.66 lbs) coco powder Recipe: - put the lady fingers in a flat bowl (one of those glass caserole thingys) - sprinkle some coffee onto them ( dip your fingers intot he coffee and just spray it across) - mix eggyolks and the sugar together ( use a whisk) - add the mascarpone to this mixture - mix egg whites till frothy ( with the mixer) - gently stir the eggwhite under the first mixture of sugar, eggyolks and mascarpone - put a layer of the mixture over the cookies in the caserole bowl ( thin layer but make sure that there is plenty on the sides so your bottom is sturdy) - add another layer of cookies in the bowl - again sprinkle these with coffee and then add another layer of the mixture - repeat until bowl is full - for best results refrigerate for at least 6 hours but an entire day is best. PS I also have a tropical tiramisu recipe if anyone is interested. |

Ooooooh this is one of my absolute favorites! Every xmas eve this is what I dig into asap. LOL |
You must have been reading my mind!!! I was just about to ask if anyone had a recipe for this... I want to make a layered desert for our holiday pot luck!!!
Anyone else wanna share their layered desert recipes with me? Preferablly recipes that do not need to be kept frozen. I have a very pretty trifle dish that is just begging to be used!!! (Wedding gift). Karen |
This one was REALLY good, but I am just going from having eaten it, so this isn't an exact recipe. It should be kept in the fridge until it is ready to be served, but doesn't have to be frozen or anything.
Cake trifle 2 cake pans of cake(like from the box how you can make 2 pans) Whipped cream or topping Heath bars Caramel sauce Crumble up the cake into the bottom of the trifle dish, making layer 1. Then add the whipped cream layer. Then a layer of heath bar. Then drizzle some caramel. Repeat until you get to the top. You could also add some raspberry sauce or jam, that would be YUMMY! |
