Grannie Annie on the OES list is one of the best references when it comes to breeding and linage. Well, actually there are several other listers, but I am horrible with names.
Maybe if you go to OES.org website you could just research under linage? The link is up in the header of the main page of this forum. I think you can learn directly from some linage books out there and it seems the AKC used to offer you the chance to trace linages for a fee. I don't think it was an exorbiant fee, maybe you could check their site. I am not big into dogs linage's, but Pooh Bear sounds familiar. Well I glanced in Christina Smith's THE COMPLETE ENGLISH SHEEPDOG. I did not notice a Pooh Bear line there, but out of Norway there's Likeabear; Denmark has Jolly Bears,Germany has Happy Pandas and Panda Bears kennels with champions. Since I do not have my reading glasses here, I cannot read the finer print, but seeing that this book only goes through the large kennels through 1990 it doesn't mean much. Things change. Sounds like a house full of energy. Good luck. And persevere. Things change daily with pups. No matter what the linage there's nothing cuter than a puppy. |
