I just discovered this forum a few days ago and have had a ball reading all of your posts. I am a brand new OES owner -- my puppy, Alistaire, is 5 months old and a HANDFUL. I've had dogs my whole life, and Alistaire is by far the most challenging dog so far. But he's also the most beautiful dog I've ever seen, and clearly has a good heart under all of that puppy mischief! It's amazing how much attention he gets when we're out for a walk ... people are constantly stopping us or even pulling their cars over to the side of the road to get a good look at an Old English! He's a perfect angel around strangers, of course, so he's got a wonderful reputation around the neighborhood. We are struggling with giving Alistaire enough exercise and attention, which is hard between people being gone all day and a very cold climate! I'll probably head over to the Behaviors forum at some point to ask for advice. |

Welcome to the forum from Massachusetts!
Love his name, we would love to see pictures of this lively (insert picture of Alistaire here) character. Just head on over to behavior and our team of experts will problem solve with you. You're smart to hop right in for advice, remember he's growing. So whats cute at 40 lbs is much different at 85 lbs They all go through the test my owner stage, its what accounts for all the grey hair (ours!!!) Congratulations on your new puppy!!!!!!!!!! |
Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! What is the best way to share pictures? Drop them right into a post, photo gallery, etc? I'd love to share pictures, of course. |
Just go to the Pictures section of this forum, and the first thread will be posting information. So simple even a novice can do it!
Chris [Pictures get posted into the photo gallery, then can be linked into posts here. As Chris said, instruction are at the top of the Pictures section of the forum: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=1119 -Ron] |
