So if you are a day ahead, can you tell my future!! |
and does your toilet water really go counter clockwise? Your summer is our winter....LOL... |
I always wondered about the toilets too....lol.... |
Mmm never really thought about that, OK just flushed the loo (aussie slang for toilet ) sorry to tell you all the water goes clockwise, so that is one myth BUSTED!! Yes hot today, airconditoner on, going to get to 34c here, so hot day for sheepies, they are sprawled out on the floor at the moment enjoying the cool |
A few years ago I was working on a project in Manila, and the only time I could talk to my husband was at 10pm in the evening my time and 6am in the morning his time! We were on the same day but just barely. And let me tell you, the quality of the conversation wasn't very good before my husband had his coffee! It kept the phone bills low. |
It's 26 degrees Fahrenheit at the moment and there are snow flurries. I'd sure like to be in Australia right now! |
Me too....no snow but it gets cold in the desert....Sue came over last night and for the majority of the time the kids played outside by themselves...brr |
Darcy, I don't think anyone is going to feel sorry for us - right now it's 72 degrees out |
my space heater is still on under my desk though |

Do you watch Mythbusters? I love that show, they just crack me up! Poor Buster, that is a RIOT to watch him get "Busted" up time and time again.... |
It's one of my favourite show, buster is my hero LOL |
Oooops forgot to tell the future, just gone back to A.Yagers post and thought I would Look into that snow dome as it reminds me of a crystal ball in shape. Well, I can see looking into it a beautiful OES, but wait it is clouding over, WOW I can see the future, OK here it is "TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY" LOL. (well we might be from the land downunder!! but WE ARE! ahead of the times ) |
Hi Lisa!
I use this site www.timeanddate.com world clock It has really helped, as I'm on quite a few forum who have many international members. Since everyone is in different times zones, it really gives a great perspective ! We used a similar site when we travelled years ago......... Theres snow in our forecast for tomorrow, whats your weather like ? |
Thanks Zahra will come in handy Weather hot for the the next few days, out comes the sunscreen, hat and on with the airconditioner LOL |
Okay have the sunscreen on..but that's in case I get sunburned from the snow.

Wonderful forecast ! Would love to spend the Holidays in a place that is warm, a little snow is pretty. But a lot of snow Would be fun to see Australia and New Zealand someday! |
Zahra, you should come to AZ, the weather here is perfect for Christmas. It's warm (in the 70s) and sunny during the day but then it gets down into the 40s at night so you can put on the Christmas sweater and warm coat and still get that "wintery" feeling.
Although those of you from the north might find the Christmas lights on the cactus a little odd... |
I have a great desktop and it shows the world and the current time and where it currently has daylight - its brilliant. Think Oz is GMT + 10 - are you watching I'm a Celebrity get me out of here - not sure they air it in Oz - its a UK show, live from the Australian jungle - 10 celebrities have tasks etc - reality show - really good - so when I watch it tonight at 9pm, think its 7am in Oz the next day !! Kimberely Davies was in there from Neighbours |
mean't to say - Jimmy Osmond is in it too - I'll be your long haired lover form Liverpool la la la la |

Although those of you from the north might find the Christmas lights on the cactus a little odd... Thanks Baileys Mom! The Southwest is also on our wish list, that sounds lovely! Its such an interesting area and lots of history too. It must be wonderful not having to scrape ice off your windshield. I fear if we went somewhere warm for winter, we'd just make it a one way ticket! |

one way ticket! It must be because living with snow is still a novelty for me (or that we usually don't get tons of it) but I love the snow and it seems so perfect for this time of year! (It is currently snowing for the first time this year--very pretty!) |
I've always dreamed of a White Christmas Aaah maybe one year instead of sweltering over a christmas feast, would be nice to sit by the fire with a glass of brandy waiting for that roast dinner, Oh well if the weather is hot christmas day, well we'll just have to chuck another shrimp on the BBQ & sip cold champagne
Yes ollies mum we get that show here too Thank goodness I don't live there Ha Ha, we are a bit more modern and civilised in Melbourne |
I hope those of you out West and in Australia are enjoying making me jealous! It's 15 degrees Celsius at the moment. I've lived in the Chicago, IL area all my life. I don't think I'll ever grow used to the cold weather. Snow is pretty, but a big pain especially when it gets icy. Enjoy your warm weather!!! |
Stacy! Just to make you feel better, It's raining here today!! and yep we are well into tuesday now and nearly lunchtime |
I can't help but be fascinated by an Australian Christmas!! Christmas has always been synonomous with snow and reindeer and all that other icicly stuff. Santa must feel completely over dressed when he gets to your part of the world

LOL I hope his sleigh is airconditioned and he carries plenty of fly repellant as the blowies (Flies in Aussie slang) might carry him away. Also a set of all terrain tyres for the sleigh, those sled ones are no good on landing without snow or ice |
