Have you checked the Dogs Annual magazine? The new one is just out now, it is amazing.
You can go to their website as well at http://www.dogsincanada.com/ I would recommend asking for a breeder referal. Our national club, The Old English Sheepdog and Owners Club of Canada, has a site as well at http://www.oesocc.org/ Good luck! And welcome to the forum |
THere were some OES in the Bargin Finder last week. Daisie said one was in Wetaskiwin and the other one was in Vermillion. We believe that the father of the pups are related to our OES. Look there. |
I'm here in Calgary, alberta. If you want to PM me I can give you all the info I have on where I got Sasha, I know they are having more litters, and sasha has just been wonderful. It was really hard to find a puppy around here....I got an OES from the bargain finder a couple of years ago and ended up having to put the pup down because at 6mo old she had the "worst case of hip diplasia" the vet had ever seen. So please be carefull. |
That is a very important point too. OES are riddled wiht health problems, so it is VERY important to find a breeder who does all the health testing to ensure they are not breeding sick pups. Ask lots of questions, get references, ask to see adults related to the pup you plan to get. (the mother at least, the father will not always be owned by the same breeder) |
