Happy 1st Anniversary Pepsi!
It seems like so much longer. We have done so much. I met him Black Friday of Last year at the local Shelter. I decided to avoid the mall at all costs. I was 7 mos pregnant with Hayley and not in the mood to do anything. Ryan had been home from school all week so I decided to take him to the Animal Shelter to look at the dogs and cat. (Something to do) I walk past Pitbull after Pitbull. Then to my complete surprise. There he is: 
Listed as a 5 yr old Hound. Of course I knew better... I grew up with an OES. I also knew that looking at him he was still a puppy. Black & White....not a speck of Tartar on his teeth. (He was 10 mos old) I had always talked about wanted to raise my kids with an OES. Here I was pregnant and the baby could grow up with an OES. We took the dog out of the kennel and brought him outside. He was so sweet and loving. But ewwww. He reeked of Urine. It was dried up and caked onto his stomach and his legs. I called Billy and told him about the dog I found. He said if I really wanted the dog that I should get it. He was a turn in at the shelter, but for some reason they wouldn't release him until he had spent 14 days there. Pepsi was released from Doggie Prison on December 2nd 2004. The first thing I did was bath him. That night he knew he was in his furever home. Look how comfy he looks 
I hope I have been as great to Pepsi as he has been to me.... He adores Hayley and puts up with Ryan. Loves his fur brothers Harley & Peanut. He is an all around goofball and keeps us quite entertained. We try to keep him just as entertained. We met other sheepies and new friends  Thanks to the forum 
We let him sleep when he is tired 
and play when he's ready to play 
We let his hair grow long 
When it got hot we had it cut short 
Then we started to grow it back 
We took him on vacation: Camping 
Grand Canyon 
I hope he's happy here Here he is last week.

What a wonderful way to show Pepsi's year of happiness with you and your family!! I just loved it and always enjoy reading of happy stories. One of my all time favorite pics on this forum is of Pepsi and Harley rough housing together..that's an amazing "action" shot. I'm glad you and Pepsi, and the kids have met with other members and shared playtime with the dogs. This forum is amazing isn't it? It's contributed to the saving of so many of our wonderful furballs and of course meeting (in person or via the computer) of all the amazing people that visit here.
