We had a nice joint walk around the neighborhood. gigi really pulls. I may need to walk her alone til she gets the right idea. Chum was on her best behavior. Now she seems a bit sad but maybe she's worn out from all the barking in the car. . . She needs a new name. Please vote! (or make suggestions). She's high energy. Nothing too girly. Something british maybe? WIsh us luck! |

After looking over that list of names (website that I listed) I liked the name Bunny as well...also like Lucy and Stella. Bo Peep is really cute too...one of my previous sheepies was given that name..but I always referred to him as Big Dog and he started coming to that name..ha ha! Good luck whatever your choice! | Thanks! I like them all in some way but I can't really figure out what's a good fit. She's got a sorta serious expression which is why I think bunny is funny. . . stella seems most like her personality in a weird way but i'm really not sure. |

| She is too cute... I voted for Georgie because Chumley is not exactly a girlie name either and I figured that if people meet you and you say here are Chumley and Stella...the would assume that Chumley was a boy...that's just me tho...I REALLY do like the name Stella! LOL |
| Right. the beauty of georgie is that it sounds kinda like gigi but is boyish like chumley. and she looks sorta curious. plus georgie is easy to say. stella is so crisp. maybe georgie girl (get it -- GG).
by the way, chum seems a bit growly and annoyed at this point. Miles is doing his best to put the young kid in her place. she keeps getting in his face. He keeps swatting at it (but not too hard). At least they are all in the room together. |

| Another tidbit -- she's stinky! I've put in an emergency call to the groomer to see if he can come tomorrow. Eventually, I'll learn how to do it myself but I gotta try and take this in stages and I'm not at bath/blowdry stage yet. . . |

Congrats, Val!  Was away yesterday and so this is my first time seeing that you actually went through with it!!
I voted for Georgie only because I have a friend who's Golden's name is Stella, and she is a holy terror! So just for association sake, I opted for something other than Stella. She's a beauty!  And don't worry - Chum will get used to her.

Glad you got pictures up right away. When we chatted the other night and you said you didn't like the name Gigi, the first thing that came to mind was "Paris". I was looking at the list and found some other ones I liked too Clover - A super adopted pet's name. She will consider herself to have great luck. Karma - You feel like powerful forces aligned to bring you and your pet together. Good luck, I know you will find the right one. |
| Well George, of course you wouldn't want your name altered, as a man, but Georgie for a girl is adorable I think...lol...

| This has been fun. I've tested a number of choices on her and I landed on one that I had resisted because I think it is very popular but I really think it suits her perfectly -- so anyone else who has a dog named the same, take it as a sign that "Maggie" is a soulsister and I hope she will be everybit as wonderful as your own. Maggie is good because it is friendly, warm, and playful sounding. . . Stella too tough, lucy and kate too cool, georgie trying to hard to be based on her old name. So there it is. I'm calling her Maggie. |

Hi, I stumbled across this thread while trying to see whether Google was ever going to pick up my website (www.chumleyandstellas.com). Couldn't resist posting. I'd have voted for "Stella" since one of our Boston Terriers is Chumley and the other is Stella. However, my mother's Doberman is named Maggie, so that's cool too! Your dogs are beautiful, whatever the names. |
