Bosley's got a job!

Well, Bosley did his first home visit today, for Boxer Rescue who needed an inspection done in the next town for a potential adoptive family. The rescue agreed that 7 month old Bosley was more like a boxer than my shelties so I took him along, inexperienced that he is. I am a very proud mom! He didn't jump on anyone, and only ate a little bit of the resident cat's food. He politely sat for the people, and rolled over for belly rubs. He was very interested in the cookies on the coffee table, but he only stole some cheeries I had brought him and left beside the cookie tray. The folks were really nice, and even filled the small cat water dish up 2/3 times for him....and didn't make one comment on the puddles of drinking water that he left on their kitchen floor. He wasn't wriggly or bouncey, and even "frumped" to the floor and lay quietly when things got boring for him. He's such a good boy, so I will be bringing him again. One thing that they could not get over, though, was the size of his paws. They look like grizzly bear feet, with all that fur :D

Great job Bosley!!

What a good boy you are! :D
Bosley makes house calls!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Sounds like he did a great job on the visit, what a good sheepie!

Maybe a career in the therapy dog area might interest him,
looks like he brings lots of love and joy to others!

Way to go Bosley!!! :clappurple:
That's awesome! Nice work Bosley! Did Bosley approve of the family. I love the term "frumped" -- it is perfectly descriptive.
That's so neat that you're doing stuff like that with him. :)
One of Abby's pups is going to be trained as a St. John's Ambulance Dog (Sitka) I can't wait to see how she does! :)

He approved of the family, but would have been happier had he been allowed up on the couch on the lady's lap. Otherwise, we just give our report back to Boxer Rescue and they make any final adoption decisions.
Personally, though, I think they would be very happy with a sheepie, instead. The fellow said he had never felt one before and was very surprised at how soft his fur is. And Bosley was considerate enough not to leave any white hairs on thier black clothes.
Great job Bosley! Sounds like he was quite the gentleman. Way to go.
Yea, Bosley! That's great that you can do this with him. It's so important.
Yeah!!! Bosley!!

What a wonderful thing to do!! I really want to hear more about it and hope you keep us updated on his new job!

Marianne and the boys
Very impressive Bosley :D And how nice of you not to leave any hair behind.
That is so awesome!!!!

What a great job!!!

I think that if Smooch and Murph could go to potential adoption homes...they may never get a dog!!! But...maybe that's a great test!!!

Good job Bosley!!!!
