Hello everyone from Mexico City!! (various questions)
We're a small family from Mexico City: Gloria, José Luis and Luque (short for Lucrecia, her official registry name), a beautiful 5 1/2 month OES female who is the love of our lives and everyday joy. Anyway we've just started with basic obedience training, we feed her only Hills and Eukanuba food and excercise everyday without fault, and since we're beginners with the breed, we would love to hear comments and advise on how to properly raise an OES (we're already thinking about getting another sheepie since Luque would love a sister or a brother), since it seems there is not a lot of information about the breed here in Mexico. Just discovered your community and be glad to participate in anyway we can, please write and would love to make friends. 
Gloria, JL and "Luque" Ps. Anyone tried Acana brand food? is it good? have any comments towards that? is it better than Eukanuba or Hill's, or Royal Canin? |

This is a great place to find out about sheepies but you will find that just like with opinions on child rearing there are all kinds off ideas on how to raise the perfect sheepie. In MY OPINION (worth what you pay for it) the best dog food is the one that your dog likes, eats, and flourishes on. Every dog has different likes, dislikes and needs. The important thing is to find a food with quality ingredients that your dogs enjoys eating. There are many great brands out there. We LOVE PICTURES, the picture forum is very user friendly and we love to hear stories about your experiences with your sheepie. Welcome!! |
| Hi Gloria and Luque...We feed Panda Natures choice lamb and rice...so I cant help on the food that you use...Welcome to the forum and you will find answers to many of your questions by just reading the posts....Luque is just beautiful and her markings are great!! |

| Welcome, Gloria, JL & adorable Luque. I have just joined a few days ago and finding this board a wealth of information. Your little sheepie has the most wonderful marking, must admit I am a sucker for patches.
I have used Royal Canin and found that it had everything in it a growing sheepie needs. I now use Eagle pack Hololistic food and find that wonderful as no additives needed, as it has probiotics, digestive enzymes, chondroitin for joint protection, omega oils and a host of other beneficial things in it. With a few sheepies it is made for puppy to old age so I only need to buy the one dry food for all. |

What a beautiful girl you have and I also love her markings! You're going to love it here...lots of friendly people, silly sheepies and great conversation. Sounds as if you're doing all the right things with your girl. There is a section called "For Members Only" which I believe once asked the same question you did and many responded as to what type of food they fed their dogs. You might want to check that out.
