This may seem kinda silly, but try "Pawn America" (I hope that is a national chain...) They have lots of electronics, I like the store, they're very freindly and it's a "nice" atmosphere (surprising for what you typically think of a pawn store). They have really good prices, as long as you don't mind buying something previously used.
Otherwise, I thikn you just need to watch for sales at your local electronics store. If I was to get a camcorder new, I'd want one of the ones that records directly onto dvd- no muss, no fuss, easy-peasy! I think they're probably on the higher side though... Karen |
Holly, what about a digital camera that does video? Mine does almost an hour of high quality video and you've seen how big it is. At least that way, if he won't use it often, it'll have dual use.
The other one I'd suggest looking into is the new one that saves just to a hard drive-- no disks, tapes, etc. Just makes it easier to use, I think. |
That's a good idea, then I can take the digital camera he already has. What kind is it? |
Ooh - I've wanted Jill's camera about a hundred times since I first saw it . . . it's the perfect size to just slip in your pocket in the morning and then you'll always have a camera! |
This is mine...
Exilim S500 Definitely get at least a 1 gigabyte memory card with it though-- it makes it super fast. I'll bring it when I see you next Friday. I like the portability of it the most. I'd never bother bringing a big camera anywhere-- this one never leaves my purse. |
That's nice! I want one too! |
It's not a bad price, $329 on Amazon plus $91 for the extra memory. |
