Wow,what a journey. We are well and so are our furbabies. Still recovering here. There is so much to do. Thank goodness my home did not receive as much damage as others. Roof and flooring and sheetrock. It is going to take some time to totally get back to normal, but we will. As long as everyone is alive,is what matters the most. Jobs were lost along with homes and their belongings. That is the sad part. My husband's job is intact,he sells commercial electrical supplies. Very, very busy. note,a week before Katrina,we became new owners of Sherwood Forrest by the Brook. Forrest for short. He is now going on 5 mos.old and already 45lbs. His papa is Ziefield aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal. Loads of International championship lineage. Forrest is very, very affectionate and very much the clown. Sometimes,we think he has a bit of Dennis the Menace in his bloodline.LOL! We are in love. I call him my spoiled baby boy. Shaggy,Kali,Chloe and Missy Gumbeaux think he is the best thing since slice bread. Well enough rambling on and again it is good to be back. |

Very glad to know that everyone in your family is okay! Welcome back! |
Welcome back! So relieved to hear that, even though it's still severe, the damage to your home is manageable, and that your husband's job is secure. Here's hoping that everything can get back to normal quickly!
