Hey, Ron! Maybe we need a separate "Personals" section??? "Hairy red-blooded male, 18 months GSOH, non-smoker seeks well-groomed female beauty for playtime and fun......" (Just my jest - no offence!) |
I have a 4 1/2 old SSF looking for a good time any time you scratch her tummy? She's in Texas.
Seriously, I don't think she looking for a dog though. Seems to be looking for a two legged, stand-up type guy or gal. Yep, she seems to go both ways. Ever think the dog is just getting excited and you should tell him it isn't the proper way to express himself? Don't think he needs breeding as much as discipline. Bet even if he was neutered he'd be embarrasing. Someone needs to explain these niceties to their dogs, as they aren't born with this type of social protocol type knowledge. A good leg hugging is about as good as it gets when you are excited and undisciplined in the social niceties of the human world. Not sure if the personals idea will work. Dogs tend too get way to personal. Not that humans cannot outdo them on occasion. |
Hi,
Merlin, my now four month old OES started humping at 3 months..still a baby but not doing it with reproduction in mind as it is a dominance thing. The other dogs at the off-leash dog park put him in his place by flipping him over on his belly and nipping his nose. He thinks twice now about doing this. Your boy may be doing the same thing...it's a dominance issue if he's doing it to you or other dogs. I may be incorrect but I'm sure reputable breeders do not breed a male until the age of three. One year is far too young to see if there exist any health issues that would be passed on to the next generation. Hope readers will correct me if I'm wrong. Hope that helps |
