When I had to adopt out my four OES I did nothing, I figured the NEOES would handle it since I surrendered their papers to them with the dogs. When my Shadow died, I sent an email to them with all the vitals and recieved a reply that it wasn't "necessary" to submit this information. Ok, if its not necessary, how do they know where all those dogs are that they have recorded? Shows me they don't care who has them, where they are or anything else. How can you be a registry and NOT want the current information of what your registering? Makes no sense to me. But, I think it makes BIG "CENTS" to them. |

I have owned a number of registered dogs and never heard that. Doesn't mean it isn't so, just never heard that. I would think that would be an administrative nightmare to keep track of however. |
You got it Pam. The AKC is all about money! And you do raise a very valid point, they should want to keep track of all the registered dogs. |
Definitely! If they are a registery (which is all that they want to take responsibility for!!!) they would would want to know when an "account is closed", so to say. That way they would know if they were being defrauded by someone trying to enter a dog under that name into competition or registering litters under that name or number.
And that's just from the 'registery' point of view. There are so many other ethical reasons to want that info. |
