The simple answer is yes! On both the nose and eyes the pink areas eventually fade to black. Our Woofer is now 15 months and the patches on both nose and around his eyes have all now gone. |
Seems like Abb's nose was completely black by 11 months and the eyes turned black earlier. She is a brown eyed OES though. She now looks like she has blue and then black eyeliner on. Love it.
Her nose had an itty bitty whitish pink spot until she was avout 14 months old. I have heard that every once in a while an OES's nose will keep a spot of pink on it, but that's not common. I guess we are all unique in our own way .... |
I am a little concerned, because my dog Ralphie has one black rimmed eye and the other is pink. He is going to turn 2 in May, so it's not an issue with age. Is this not normal?
Also, he has always been a lighter grey instead of the primarily dark grey/black that I've seen in most OES. He is definitely sheep dog though, his parents were 'champions' or what not. |
My dog Shaggy still has pink around eyes and a few small pink spots on his nose. He is 3. But like your sheepie, Kindarspirit, he is lighter in color, he has a pretty silver color, and an all white head. I think thats why his skin stayed pink. |
