Just thought I'd introduce myself, my scrrename is Chet and my OES name is Chester. Easy to remember, I'll probably forget . Just found this site last night. Chester is 2 and1/2 yrs old and this is my first time owning an OES. He has one brown eye and one blue eye and a summer puppy cut. He likes to watch TV with me in the morning, while I have Coffee, he has his chews. He sits at my feet with his sister Zoe who is a Keeshond, 8 years older than Chester. They steal each others chews and watch court dramas so this makes for alot of fun.Hope to talk to some of you soon. :) Chet from Ct. |

Welcome, Chet.
May I suggest that you register as a user -- it brings some "valuable" benefits. 1st off, the bulletin board will automatically show you posts since your last visit, and secondly, you can ask the system to email you a notice if someone responds to your post. It only takes a minute, and it's free and confidential. Welcome to you, and to Chester and even Zoe!! (I have to ask... are they able to predict the outcome of the court cases? Are they thinking of suing one another for theft of their cookies? Hey, I see you are from Connecticut.... are you going to NEOESR's picnic this Saturday in Bozrah? -Ron. PS I just looked and saw that you DID in fact sign up. Great! Be sure to log in each time, or ask for a cookie to be set so you don't have to log in. Welcome! |
Hi Ron,
Thanks for the welcome and the humor. We'd like to come to the picknic but we didn't know about it till just today. We don't want to impose but we could bring our own food and of course, Chester. However, since we're late I don't expect any special treatment. Chester does though, you know the sheepie connection. Anyway if you could let us know what's best will abide by that. Thanks again for the welcome! Chet |
Oh, there should be plenty of room for you! I think we've had > 175 people RSVP to date...
Here's a link directly to the picnic info: http://www.neoesr.org/picnic02.htm As you can see, the location and directions to get there are not exactly state secrets! Just call Nannette if you can, and ask her what you can bring for our potluck/cookout. If not -- show up anyway, and blame me! Of course, NEOESR would love to have you join as a member, too. I think annual membership is $20, and entitles you to "The Tale's End" or bi-monthly (6 x a year) newsleter/magazine. I look forward to seeing you there! I'll be somewhere near the NEOESR club merchandise area, as my wife Joan currently chairs that function. I hope it works out! |
Dear Ron,
Thanks so much for the information on the picknic, I will call Nanette, bring potluck, and happily pay the $20.00 for the membership in the sheepdog rescue fund. My dream has always been to have ten fenced in acres in Vermont, and take in a few homeless sheepies. Yet reality is I have two invisible fenced in acres in Ct. Chester goes bonkers when he sees other Sheepies, but Zoe is older and rather set in her ways. I was looking at the rescue dogs last nite, with tears in my eyes, at some of the stories. I can't imagine giving Chester away because he's old or sick. We're together till RB time. Again thanks for the time and information! Hope to meet you and your wife at the picknic. Best-Chett :) |
