Once we were done laughing, we were scared to death of course at the thought of what could have happened. We're just super lucky that nothing caught his eye while he was out there, like a kid on a bike or another dog. Bailey got plenty of hugs for being a smart boy! At least it drilled home the idea of closing and locking the front door. |

Whew!! Thank goodness he didn't wander off!! It's nice to know home is where is heart is!! |
Oh Sue!!!! Wow! Bailey gets an extra treat for being such a smart boy! |
That was very funny, and I'm glad Bailey came back in!! We have the same problem with our front door, it has to be deadbolted or it will open by itself!! I have locked myself out a few times, and one time I locked our whole family out!!

What a riot! Big hugs to Bailey for being SUCH a good boy!
Our front door does the same thing. We had some landscaping done last fall that included putting in a paving block walkway. The landscaper was tamping down the stone base and the vibration caused our front door to open. There laid Drezzie, just watching the landscaper and not budging an inch! He just went up and shut the door and she never barked or anything. This was one instance where I was almost glad she's gimpy! Chris |
