Bosley met a girl!!!!

I contacted the local OES rescue person offering my services as a volunteer. She quickly invited me over to her kennel for a visit, and it was only about 40 minutes away. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! As Bosley was a shelter pup I had never had the opportunity to visit a breeder, and see OES's en masse. She had just recently been at a dog show, so 2 of her dogs were in show coats. The rest were in varying stages of clips, and happy, happy, happy to see us. There were a few in dog runs and a few peeping out through the curtains in the house. She let out her own 6-month old female obedience/agility girl and boy oh boy. Her and Bosley had a ball! She was a lot smaller than him, but so full of spunk that he couldn't keep up with her. What fun to watch them tear around the farm. The woman gave me tons of tips on grooming and how her rescue operates. She also gave Bosley the once-over, said he had good bone structure, a nice bite and may end being around 70 pounds. Of cource we were just beaming with pride, and then we all went home. Bosley slept almost the whole evening, just dead to the world, and possbily dreaming of a little grey and white spitfire LOL Just had to share...: )

Sounds like a lot of fun! :)
Sounds like a good time was had by all!!!! :D
Nothing better than watching two(or more) sheepies tear around together. I'm glad Bosley had such a good time! :D
Sounds like you both had a lot of fun.
Especially Bosley. There is nothing better than a worn out Sheepie...lol
I bet he got tons of exercise. How cool to see so many Sheepies in one place

How fun! I'm so glad Bosley had fun at the rescue! I'm sure the other sheepies enjoyed him too! :D
How fun and exciting! Bosley will be asking you to take him back there soon. :D So glad to hear you're going to be involved in rescue. :D
I have been involved with all-breed rescue for many years...intake, assessment, fostering, transport, home visits, and placement. The whole nine-yards, but not OES rescue. The sheltie rescue I am involved with now started up very slow, but now places about 30-40 dogs a year. Apparently there are not many OES's in need in this area, but sometimes that is because people are not aware of the availabilty. Or maybe there are not that many OES's, I don't know. We'll see how it goes. Seeing as Bosley was a rescued dog I need to also help out his breed, for my sake and his. Should be fun! And the rescue place we were at on Saturday is not too far, and the lady was wonderful.
I do remember you saying you had been involved in other rescues. I should've clarified my statement to include OES rescue! :D You were quite helpful when I was trying to get Daisy to go potty for me last week! Thanks, again. :D :D

BTW, she went home with a wonderful couple on Saturday. She's going to be very loved and spoiled. I invited them to join us here at the forum. I hope they will do. :D
