Don't worry. He will be fine. We get older, unneutered dogs in rescue all the time, and they all get done. Even up to 10 years and over, if the vet says it is OK. With him being adult he may get more swelling in the area, and it might be more sore, but keep an eye on it. Some dogs don't even notice and then some are big babies.....LOL. Remember no licking and leash walks only for minimum 7 days! You don't need him to split a stitch and have to get sewn up again. He may need a cone, if he goes after it. Bosley got his head stuck in the toilet bowl when he was trying to drink with his on! |
Bosleys mom thanks for replying so quick. It's going to be hard to keep him still.I have a female Aussie and they're always carrying on. I think she'll be glad he's not so active for awhile he always wants to play. I have off work that Wednesday and Thursday and I talked my husband into taking off that Friday because I have to work and I'll have off Sat and Sun because it's my weekend off thank goodness. The reason we didn't have him neughtered for so long was we really wanted to show him but my daughter doesn' t have time going to college and I work every other weekend .He's my constant companion. I just feel like we wasted his potential by not showing him because he's a beautiful dog. I don't feel it was a waste of money how much she paid for him because he brings so much joy into our lives. |
