California Update
So any way, I talked to Brian last night and he said he had Panda in the ocean for about a half hour, playing and romping around...who knew she was a beach baby...he said he hosed her down and gave her a "bath", but she isnt letting him brush her....WHAT?? Oh for goodness sake, make her lay down and just brush her...(he has never done this task before) sigh..I can just see the knots developing on her as I type this....Poor Panda, she needs her mommy and I can tell you, these 5 days without her are driving me crazy...I dont like the quiet of my house...for a small house, it seems rather large without the lumbering gait of a crazy sheepdog........ |

I'll tell you what Darcy, I will gladly lend you Max to fill the void  I could really use a break from him, he's been getting to be a bit of a brat lately, and would love some sunny weather. We're getting rain again and he's been so spoiled all summer with the dry weather, (I've been spoiled too)

As for Panda...she will probably be really matted... Poor Girl. Tell Brian he just needs to corner her...lol That's what I have to do with Pepsi...and he nips when I brush him
Sorry you are so lonely without Panda. I know the couple of time we have gone on Vacation and come back while the dogs were still at the Kennel. It was very very quiet... Too quiet. I am used to dog barking jumping on each other... I am sure she misses you a lot. Only a couple of more days now. Elissa |
| Well, it is a concept to actually have clean floors for longer than a half hour (if that)....lol........My house is clean and smells of pinesol....no frito puppy feet, no drool spots on the wood floors....sigh.....Gosh I miss her...just not look forward to being the "bad" mommy and trying to get the knots out......
Turtle Update....he's eating fine and he is moving as quick as ever..the crack seems to have closed.....its now only a hair line...I DONT know how he managed to escape internal injuries....maybe turtles have 9 lives too?! Lets hope no infection sets in.....please say a little prayer for Slim...he didnt deserve to be cracked by a pt crusier......Im still shamed at not looking under the car...I ignored my second sense that told me to do so.... |

| Tell me about it....as much as I love vacation, nothing really beats home...Its taken a few days to get back in the swing of things....but Im Back and happy to be so!
Turtle update....Slim was pacing the 2 corners of the garage this morning, walking form one door to the other...he was trying to get in!!! He just doesnt get it that the garage is obviously a dangerous place....lol..I made sure the door is closed...I wonder how long it will be that I stop checking every corner of the garage, even though I know Slim is in the yard?? |
| Slim looked pretty perky when I was there the other day, Darcy! I think he'll be just fine. Here's what I don't get - in his little turtle mind, what is so cool about the garage that he's willing to risk the PT Cruiser just to get in there again? Maybe it's the turtle equivalent of Disneyland...
You know that Brian is not going to brush Panda LOL! But she's short now so you'll have her all detangled in no time. |

| Thanks all...15 more minutes till I go home and see the family....tick tock...tick tock......Brian told me he didnt bring the camera home, just in case he sees a house he thinks I may like.......I dont know what that man is thinking, 'cause Im not movin'.....Unless I win the lottery, then Ill have 2 house.....I cant get him to fix what I need in this house......lol.....it will be 2 more weeks until I get pictures posted, so hang in there all of you...they're coming!!! |

| I see, Elissa...So before, distance was the great equalizer in the relationships of Pepsi, Barney, Gooch and Panda...but if you 'make' them move closer to you...I see how it is. Soon Panda will have Pepsi there all the time, making her forget all about Barney, who lives SO FAR AWAY. We'll see...when I move back to California next year...Pepsi better watch out! |

| OMG, not again.........Elissa, you crack me up!!! Brian is always serious about moving closer to the beach....but he is retiring in a few years, so he can think like that....I, on the other hand have at least 10 more years of work ( thats what he told me..I can retire at the same age as him...) If that is the case, we are staying right here....I love my boss, my job and my old broken house.....lol.....If he still wants to move when IM ready to retire, Id move to the moon with him if thats what he wants.....

When we move back to California (and I am saying 'when' and not 'if') we will be trying to move back to coastal So Cal. The general story is that my husband and I are from Newport Beach and San Diego, respectively, and each of us wants to move 'home' and I would be happy with either location. However, he is in med school right now and he will be applying to go to all sorts of locations for his residency...Residency is basically like med school...you apply and they either say yes or no that they want you there. And since so many people want to do their residency (and live) in Southern California, it will be difficult for him to get in...but that's our plan...so, as close to SD or Newport as possible... |

| max looks just like the shihtzu I fostered for one week. Those are great pictures, and yes she will be matted when you get her back, but with a shaved coat it should be easy to see them. |
| Panda came home not too knotty, just filthy...lol....she will be getting a bath tommorrow...her hair is growning really fast now...she'll have the long sheepie look soon...cant wait to put a bow in her hair...and yes, max is a little shitzu....he was so funny and got along with Panda great! |
