Little Katrina Babies

| One of our volunteers went down mid-September to Louisiana and brought back 15 pre-Katrina stray dogs that a local (Ontario) Humane Society agreed to accept. They have all been placed, and 8 were puppies. She has been local TV 3 times since she got back and is gathering donations to go back for more in a couple of weeks. Three other groups that I know of went down, too, and the last one was expecting to bring back 25 dogs. I organized a pet suppy drive at my work, got tons of stuff and money to send down with them. It is about 25 hours away, and it is only a drop in the bucket, but the dogs that are saved appreciate it. So sad... |
