can you send me some details about what the required needs are for a deaf sheepie? or you can call us. their are a bunch of my friends around here looking for a sheepie since they seen max. everybody just loves him to death. |
Oops, there have been quite a few posts here from people with deaf sheepies. Try a search for "deaf." BritSydPres (or BritPresSyd?) has a deaf dog--I haven't seen her post in a long time though. Fritzi's Brie (of the Cheezedoodles) is also deaf and she has posted a lot of good info. Also look at the website deafdogs.org. |
The Gooch is deaf too. |
MY Husband is not doing well at all..So the traveling for me is out of the question for now...... I was looking for someone in Northern Indiana or surrounding area that could help with him. I have been traveling all over the US saving Babies and just can't do that anymore..... There are so many parts of the country that there isn't any OES Rescue!!!!!!! Sheepie Hugs, Kaye |
Kaye, So sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he's doing better soon.
Sue |
Kaye, Hope your husband is feeling better soon. Prayers to you both!

Hi we had a deaf oes for 13 years she was wonderful and we miss her dearly. Would have loved to have had another deaf dog, but we did end up with 2 dogs not deaf. I hope he finds a wonderful home that will love himand give him lots of attention!!! Jan |
I'm in northern Indiana, so transport would be a possibility, or if someone would like me to find out info for them, unfortunately I dont have room for anymore |
Hi everyone.
I have posted a few times concerning our deaf OES Oscar. Just recently, I put some info on the forum, under "Rescuing a Sheepdog" and the topic "Bob, deaf dog in Florida". Feel free to check that out, and PM me if you have any questions. Good Luck!!!! |
Kay,
What's the status of this poor baby? I'm west of Chi-Town and could do a transport -- Michelle |
Hi Michelle, Because this feller is older most people wouldn't be interested in adopting him. ..SO I am still working on getting him closer to me in Texas. I will be back in touch with you as I work this out.. Even though I won't be able to run around around and rescue much anymore I can still stay home and take care of older Babies. I have 7 older ones here with me that are not adoptable....... This boy would fit right in. We are setting up an Senior Citizens Doggie Home....... They will all live in the house and all have their own beds and have the run of the house.......The back yard is 1 1/2 acres fenced with 8 ft wooden pricacy fence....... Kinda Like One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest on 4 legs....... I will take all the Older Babies that No One Else Wants........They will Live The Rest Of Their Lives WIth Us.........It Just Doesn't Get Any Better Then That...........Maybe I Sould Call This Place Last Chance Rescue Kaye |
Kaye you are wonderful!! May God bless you for blessing these babies!!! Jan |
Oh Kaye,
You are truly special... you'll have a reserved furlined place in heaven! Michelle |
